The Healing Springs Mountain VHF Society is an ARRL affiliated amateur radio club making its home in Lexington, North Carolina, supporting a number of local VHF and UHF repeaters. We also support our members who work a variety of HF and digital modes.

Supporting the 2015 Tour de Pig

Members of the Healing Springs Mountain VHF Society provided communications support to the 2015 Tour de Pig, an event of the Lexington BBQ Festival.  The Tour de Pig is a 100k cycling fundraiser for the Davidson County Mental Health Association.  There are also several shorter routes for the less hard core riders.  This was the event's 24th year.

The Lexington Dispatch reports that rainy weather held turnout to about 300 riders.  Other volunteer groups included Childress Angels, Tourism Recreation Investment Partnership, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
